The Amarillo Livestock Auction, Amarillo, Texas, reported receipts of 946 head selling on Nov. 5, compared to 1,082 head a week ago and 1,476 head last year, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Amarillo, Texas.

Compared to a week ago, stocker calves were selling mostly steady, yearlings were not well tested the previous week. Trade activity and demand were moderate to good. Slaughter cows and bulls were selling $2 to $4 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls made up 14%, 2% replacements and 84% feeders. The feeder supply consisted of 43% steers and bulls, with 57% heifers. Approximately 40% of the run weighed over 600 pounds.

Pairs: Medium and large frame 1 to 2, aged individual 1300 lbs., with 200-lb. calf 1026.00; broken mouth individual 1100 lbs., with 150-lb. calf 710.00 per pair.
